Had a lovely stay at Collaven Manor! The room was spacious with a comfy sofa and beautiful garden views. Breakfast was a real treat, especially the fresh fruit salad. Just a heads-up, the access paths were a bit tricky with bikes. a great experience!

The breakfast was absolutely fantastic, featuring local ingredients and beautifully cooked full English options that shouldn't be missed.
It would have been better to have local tea options in the room instead of just Yorkshire tea, as well as a small fridge for convenience.

Stayed for two nights and really expected more. the bath tap was unusable, and although the staff tried to fix it, not having a complimentary drink to calm my nerves was absolutely insulting. the breakfast time is shockingly short (8:30-9:30), as a discerning traveler, I woudl ve been grateful for special treatment. never returning.

A Delightful Getaway in Historic Surroundings
I had a lovely two-night stay here, enjoying the peace and charm of a historic building surrounded by beautiful grounds. The room was spacious and well-furnished, offering stunning views that made waking up a joy. Breakfast was a highlight, featuring delicious local produce that set us up for the day exploring Dartmoor. One small downside was the lack of evening meals available on-site, but nearby pubs offered great options. I would happily return for another visit!

The breakfast here is spectacular, featuring an array of delicious local ingredients that would make any foodie swoon. The peaceful settings and scenic gardens create an inviting atmosphere, ideal for a relaxing retreat after a long day of exploring.
Be warned that if you want dinner service, you need to pre-book, which can catch you off guard. there are no shops nearby, so you'll need to stock up before you arrive, and the Wi-Fi is quite slow—definitely not ideal for anyone needing to get some work done.

Families looking for cozy retreat
The staff were attentive helping us feel at home, and the gardens were breathtaking, perfect for evening strolls. The bed was like a cloud, one of the most comfortable places I've ever spent the night.
It wasn’t exactly cheap but still reasonable for what you get.
